The Sublette COVID-19 Response Group regrets to report that Sublette County has suffered a second COVID-19 related death.
An older adult man who was a Sublette County resident died in November in an out-of-state hospital. It is unknown whether he had conditions recognized as putting patients at higher risk of severe illness related to COVID-19.
The Wyoming Department of Health reports there have been two covid-related deaths in Sublette County since the pandemic began. This afternoon, WDH reported an additional 27 recent COVID-19 related deaths in Wyoming, bringing the state’s total to 257.
The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) reports 21 new COVID-19 cases in Sublette County today. Sublette County currently has 78 active cases, with 399 recoveries, and 2 deaths, for a total of 479 cases since the pandemic began.
Sublette County Public Health reports that there are 230 people in isolation or recommended quarantine in the Big Piney, Boulder, Bondurant, Cora, Daniel, and Pinedale areas.
Several more Sublette Center residents have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 40, including 18 residents and 22 staff members. Two Sublette Center residents remain hospitalized.
Although the existing countywide mask order is set to run through Dec. 4, an extension of the order will be issued on Friday. The extended order will be in effect through January 4, 2021, and will include a few modifications from the current order. The new order will be posted on the Response Group website tomorrow after it is signed by the State Health Officer.
