Sublette County has three new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the county's total to 200 cases so far during the pandemic. This total includes 29 active cases, 170 recoveries, and one death.
There are 82 residents in isolation or quarantine in Sublette County, and there are three Sublette County residents currently in hospital intensive care units due to COVID-19.
Some of the cases detected in the county this week arose from recent gatherings – including holiday celebrations and other events, both private and public. Sublette County Public Health reminds the public to remain vigilant about social distancing and wearing masks if you chose to attend such gatherings.
Today's video briefing included a discussion of mandatory masking, and how the county plans to handle patients if regional hospitals are no longer able to accept our patient transfers. County Health Officer Dr. Brendan Fitzsimmons also talked about the increase in hospitalized patients from Sublette County, including one case in which a person in their mid-40s contracted the virus and was hospitalized for three months and is now permanently disabled due to this disease.
