Sublette County Public Health Update: October 28, 2021

COVID Update

The Wyoming Department of Health announced another death of a Sublette County resident this week. Sublette County Public Health sends their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. WDH reported 23 new COVID-19 cases in Sublette County in the past week. There are currently 16 active cases in Sublette County, with 1,321 recoveries and 16 deaths, for a total of 1,353 cases since the pandemic began.


Sublette County remains the Orange or Moderate-High Transmission Zone for community spread this week reflecting those lower cases, most of the state remains in the Red or High Transmission Zone (source: https://health.wyo.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/County-Metrics-October-27-2021.pdf)

Let’s keep moving the meter downwards by building your immunity, getting vaccinated, and practicing all of our basic recommendations for distancing, masking, and increased hand hygiene.





Flu & COVID-19 Vaccines

As of Oct. 26, 2021 – 3,024 people have been fully vaccinated in Sublette County, which means that 30.76% of our population has been vaccinated. 470 booster or primary-series doses of vaccine for COVID-19 were administered in Sublette County this week. This total includes booster doses given for Sublette Center residents and staff, as well as our drive-thru event yesterday at the Mountain Man Museum.


Public Health continues to offer weekly COVID & flu vaccination clinics. Registration is requested but drive-ups are welcome on these clinic days. To sign-up, please call Public Health at 307-367-2157 to schedule an appointment.

  • All COVID Vaccines available for boosters & regular doses!

  • Senior Flu and Regular Flu Vaccine available.



Tuesdays at the Public Health Office in the Marbleton Senior Center

  • 1 to 4 pm for flu and COVID vaccinations/boosters.

  • Marbleton Office closed on Tuesday, November 2nd for our big drive-thru event at the Fairgrounds. Please come to the Fairgrounds next week!


Thursday, October 28th & Thursday, November 4th– Drive-Thru at the Mountain Man Museum

  • 1 to 4 pm for flu and COVID vaccinations/boosters.

  • Closed Thursday, November 11th – Veterans Day.

  • Closed Thursday, November 25th – Thanksgiving.


Payment Due at time of service for flu vaccinations: Cash & Checks Accepted; we can bill Medicare, BCBS, Cigna & UMR. Costs are $20 for the regular flu vaccine and $55 for the senior flu (high-dose) vaccine.


For COVID boosters, Public Health will charge your insurance company a $20 administration fee, there is no charge for those underinsured or uninsured. Please bring your COVID vaccine card and completed vaccine consent form with you.


Last week, the FDA & CDC approved booster doses for Pfizer, Moderna, & Janssen Vaccines. Please see the graphic below for eligibility requirements. You can also "Mix and Match" vaccine boosters now. This means that we can give a booster dose of a different type of vaccine than your original series. Booster doses available at any of our COVID clinics (listed above). More information here:

On October 25th, the FDA advisory panel recommended that the FDA grant emergency approval to Pfizer for administration of the vaccine in 5-to-11 year olds. The ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) meets the first week of November to make final recommendations on this vaccine. More information to come on this one….
